Business Clothing Swap

It’s spring cleaning season! Bring in your gently-used business clothing to swap and donate. Perfect for your next conference, networking session, interview, or work event!

All clothing not taken will be donated to DressForSuccess Oregon, a local organization providing professional attire to women. 

Ensure all clothing is freshly laundered and ironed (if needed). Items need to be in wearable/presentable condition.

Fireside Chat

Join SWE CRS for a fireside chat and book signing with Jayshree Seth,  SWE Highest Achievement Award Winner and author of SWE published books The Heart of Science- Engineering Footprints, Fingerprints, & Imprints and The Heart of Science- Engineering Fine Print. We will be discussing her career journey, as well as topics from her two books and hear about her upcoming book that will complete the trilogy.

Feel free to purchase books from Amazon or Barnes & Noble beforehand to bring for signing, or just join in for the discussion! All proceeds go directly to a SWE scholarship for Women of Color in STEM.

Oregon Children’s Theatre Hosts She Persisted, The Musical

Newmark Theatre, Portland | April 28–May 26

Fourth-grader Naomi’s field trip to a Women’s History Museum turns into a time travel adventure where she encounters inspirational women who have overcome barriers and made waves throughout U.S. history. From activists to athletes, artists and more, this musical features the stories of female trailblazers such as Harriet Tubman, Virginia Apgar, Ruby Bridges, Sally Ride, Florence Griffith Joyner, and Sonia Sotomayor.

Oregon Children’s Theatre has created a 20% off discount code for us to share with you & your families. A description of the show can be found on the show’s webpage, www.octc.org/she-persisted. The code is SPSWE20 and it is valid for 20% off tickets in seating levels 1 and 2. 


On May 4th, SWE-CRS hosted a volunteer booth there to spread awareness and resources about our SWENext program & SWE-CRS! Thanks to Jennifer Baradwaj for volunteering her time!

Volunteer Opportunities

Guest Speaker at Lakeridge High School’s STEM Club

Cecilia Hahn and Matthew Rodrigano are the co-presidents of Lakeridge High School’s STEM Club. Our club hosts guest speakers every other week intending to promote STEM education to our community, and we would be honored to have a representative of Society of Women Engineers speak at a club meeting. Our club is majority women who would love to learn more about women in the engineering workforce. We host meetings on Thursdays during lunch (11:30-12:15) and the dates we are looking to fill are March 21, April 4, April 18, May 2, May 16, and May 30.
